New knitting project for a trip in the New Year

I though hard about what to take on this trip. We will be traveling a couple a days before we sleep in a bed. So I needed something that I could do in a darkened cabin without worrying about a complicated pattern. I hope this self-striping yarn will do the trick. I’m doing cuff down pair of socks using the magic loop method. I would hate to loose a double pointed needle on a plane. Got it started yesterday in the hotel.
